When we say “server” we mean the OS that you are connecting to. When we say “client” it means the device you are connecting from.
Disabling HW decoding needs to be done on the client-side and it can be done during the remote session:
– start a connection
– open the menu and go to display settings
– click modify and check “disable hardware decoding”
