Computer mutes itself whenever I exit

So this just seems to be a recent thing, it’s worked fine before. Lately, whenever I exit out of a connection to a computer it’ll mute itself. It’s a system mute, not just a program mute (red X on the little speaker in the notification bar). It’s an important issue since I stream music from that computer and I can’t just leave the connection up all day.

Streaming is enable and “mute audio on the server” is not checked. It’s a Windows 7 to Windows 7 connection.
