    Hello newbie here with free version.  I have gone through the tutorial pages and forum posts and cannot get past the point where I connect but only see a black screen.  I can confirm that server.cfg has PhysicalDesktopMode set to 2.

    Remote stack: AWS EC2 instance running Ubuntu 14.04.5; nxserver, nxnode, nxd all enabled

    Local stack: Mac Pro running 10.12.1; NoMachine 5.1.62 for Mac OS X

     

    Help appreciated.

    We’ve just installed Unity desktop using your same Ubuntu version without problems. What desktop environment are you using? And what version?

    You mention tutorial, did you follow our tutorial on this page: https://www.nomachine.com/accessing-your-remote-linux-desktop-on-amazon-elastic-compute-cloud-via-NoMachine ?
