Internet access

Hi there,

I have recently downloaded NoMachine and successfully set up connection to the sever via a VPN, however I am unable to access the internet. When I click on the Mozilla Firefox icon I receive an error message saying “Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system”. I have tried following these suggestions but firefox definitely isn’t running, and restarting didn’t work. Do I need to configure internet access? If so, how? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using free version and connecting to virtual display on remote Mac version 10.11.6

Hi, this would appear to be a problem with Firefox profiles. More information about that is on their website. You mentioned a “virtual display”. Firefox will use the same profile for both the original OS and the virtual one that’s running. I think this could well be the issue.

Have you tried with another browser, for example Safari?

Did NoMachine give any error messages at all?
