    Greetings,

in the past few days, I have been trying to use NoMachine Free on Windows 10 to access my private computer from outside my private network / via the internet.
Unfortunately, both nxServer and the “Welcome to NoMachine” page only ever provide me with 2 separate private IPs but never a public IP. I have tried both UPnP and manually forwarding port 4000. I have also checked that UPnP works via my router’s web interface.

What I’ve noticed so far is that the server settings do not show a Gateway port.
Unfortunately I was unable to correct this, as NoMachine simply returns an error.

I have been reading the few other forum posts regarding this issue but was unable to find any solution by doing so. Any help, tips or tricks would be much appreciated.

My Router/Modem is an “AVM FRITZ!Box 6490 Cable”
I’m using Powerline adapters to connect my PC to the router, if that information is of any relevance. Hosting dedicated game servers for others to join over the Internet has worked perfectly using this setup.

Please let me know if any further information is required.

    Best regards

Can you try tracert to some www address to verify if there are two private networks on the route? If yes, NoMachine has to go through both. UPnP doesn’t easily support this type of scenario. If you are able to configure that network, port forwarding should be set up on both.

If you prefer send us the output of tracert <any_www_page> and we can check for you.
