How do I get NoMachine to bring up a mate session.  I am using CentOS 7 (both server and machine I am connecting from) and NoMachine 6.9.2_1 (I believe the are evaluation versions).  Mate is installed and I can bring up mate session in XRDP.  We are evaluating different remote connection for our users.  We want to run a mate session but it always brings up gnome session.  I have read a couple thing on internet, none worked and they were old.  I see talk about physical display, but I don’t seem to have that option.

    Thanks,

    Ron

    Update:

I also tried setting the node.cfg with: DefaultDesktopCommand “/usr/bin/mate-session”

Also to no luck getting it to start with mate desktop.

Thanks for letting us know. Just so other users can easily find how to change the default desktop when launching a NoMachine virtual desktop session, the correct article is:

How to run a virtual desktop environment on Linux different from the default one with NoMachine
