I am currently accessing a Fedora server from a Windows client through NoMachine. The connection works fine, but if I disconnect the monitor on the Fedora computer, NoMachine will not connect from the Windows computer. I built the Fedora computer to be a headless machine; how can I access it without having a monitor connected?

Check the Knowledge Base. It works like that because Linux works like that, a unique operating system in doing so. We include a nxagent virtual X server that you can run, just to make one X server that the system can “see”, one that can run your desktop software and one you can connect to.

The article explaining how to do it is here:

Thank you, Britgirl. When I was first testing this out, I had fired up the Fedora machine with the monitor attached, then detached it and connected via NoMachine. It failed every time. When I booted the Fedora computer with the monitor unplugged from the beginning, it connect perfectly. Thanks again for the link and your time.
