    Hi everyone,

    I just installed ubuntu 14.04 and NoMachine 4. I am trying to access this computer from windows 8, and I am getting the following error:

    Could not connect to the server.

    Error is 138: Connection timed out

    I am connecting through a VPN connection, since the computer I want to access is in a University. I have already tried to disable the firewall and got no success.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello,

    If firewall is not the issue, please make sure that your VPN is configured in a way that lets you connect to port 4000 on your remote machine.
