After a few days of fighting with this and reading everything I could find i’m stuck, so I created an account hoping someone can help.
I have a the latest linux crunchbang distro (debian wheezy) with openbox as the server, very little out-of-the-box config, and only a single user
Windows 7 as the client.
Server is running NoMachine_4.2.26_1_amd64
Client is running the same version of NoMachine
I can connect and authenticate but then I see:
“No available sessions on this server” which is a link to the following message.
“The server was unable to make the local display available or access to the local display is disabled.”
The server logs don’t show anything interesting other than a user connecting. I’ve tried to follow the steps provided for headless servers, with no luck. My server is not headless, connecting to the existing physical desktop is enough, i don’t need a new session, but I can’t even get that working.
