I am using the latest, free version of NoMachine on two windows machines.

The problem arises connecting to a physical display

Windows 7 desktop which I’m trying to view from a windows 8 laptop

Error given is “No available sessions on this server” and when I click on that it says “Server unavailable to make local display available or access to the local display is disabled”

Do any of you know how to enable it?

Hi, the best thing for you to do would be to gather logs and submit them to us so we can see what’s happening.

Submit them to issues[at]nomachine[dot]com and one of our developers will be in touch with you.

    Hi

I am having the same problem as above, except that I am trying to access a Windows 7 PC (Dual Monitor) from a Windows 7 Laptop using the free version of NoMachine.

The connection works perfectly when connecting to the laptop from the PC, but the other way around I get the ‘no available sessions on this server’ message.

If I would like to gather logs, do I need to manually set the log level to debug?  I am unable to locate it the setting in any of the preferences?

    Thanks

I submitted the logs a few days a ago, can you please give me an indication how long it usually takes to get feedback?

I can confirm we got them and they have been looked at. A developer will be following up soon.

    Hello marciak,
We did not find any issues in attached logs that may indicate issues with providing access to physical session on that host. Debug log level was not enabled, but nonetheless we can see entries that indicate connection to that physical session.

With that said, in .nx attached directory we can find nxplayer R- directories, where indeed is not physical session available. Maybe logs where send from client side (where nxplayer was running) not from server side host?
