AsmithParticipantI have a problem with the track pad when I use NoMachine to access my xubuntu machine from my Chromebook. It behaves like a touch screen, so when I try to scroll down, it does the opposite and selects everything on the screen. There is also a white cursor that always starts from the center of the screen. I checked the mouse and track pad settings, and there are two options: Qemu tablet and vm ps/2 mouse and keyboard. But when I choose the second one, it doesn’t save the change. This problem doesn’t happen when I use [removed] instead of NoMachine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

TorParticipantYou probably enabled the pointer mode, try to turn it off and check it again. The pointer mode is useful mostly for the touch interface. You can turn it off with the icon in the side toolbar, or in the Input menu.

AsmithParticipantNa I thought that was it as well, but it’s not. I have it turned off

TorParticipantInteresting, pointer mode would explain the cursor centered in the screen, but since it’s not enabled I’ve no idea why it is there.
The application is not really doing anything with the trackpad, it’s ChromeOS converting the gestures you do to well known input events like scrolling. We’ll run some tests in our environment, do you mind sharing your ChromeOS version and Chromebook model? How did you install the NoMachine application, store or sideloading?January 24, 2024 at 01:44 #46824
AsmithParticipantSure. Here’s my chromeOS details
Google Chrome: Version 121.0.6167.49 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
Platform: 15699.29.0 (Official Build) beta-channel dedede
Channel: beta-channel
Firmware Version: Google_Lantis.13606.595.0
ARC Enabled: true
ARC: 11249241
Enterprise Enrolled: false
Developer Mode: false
and here is a video of what is happening.

like i said, this doesnt happen using [removed] so I do not understand if its the playstore version of NoMachine causing it or what.

BritgirlKeymasterWe’ve reproduced the issue and have opened a Trouble Report which you can track using the following link:
