When trying to connect to server, it disconnects

Hi,

As stated in the title. When I try to connect from my (physical) Windows 11 laptop to my (physical) PC in the office (Windows 10) it stops the server running on the Windows 10 PC and disconnects me before even really connecting on the Windows 11 laptop.

I am able to connect from the Windows 10 PC to the Windows 11 laptop, but when I try the other way around I can ask permission to the Windows 10 PC to access as a guest and I see the message popping up on the Windows 10 PC. When i press accept the server on the Windows 10 PC shuts down or the “desktop shared” option changes to “desktop not shared”. This happens both on LAN and on a network from the outside. That makes no difference sadly.

I already tried reinstalling NoMachine on both machines and updating them to the latest versions. Both machine where restarted after installation.

both machines are running:
NoMachine free version.
NoMachine version: 8.11.3

I backed up my “nxserver” log and let NoMachine make a new one.
I tried to connect from the laptop and it gave me this on server side:

Did you already try rebooting the Win10 again?

After checking that, send us the logs of the Win 10 host.  You can extract them using the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243

Hello

Please also provide server side logs and check if nxtrace.log was generated in C:\ProgramData\NoMachine\var\log\ folder.
Also please check windows events and export nxservice/nxnode relate reports and send with nx logs, please.

We checked the sent logs and they are only from client side. Please send to us server side host logs and windows events related to nxserver/nxnode/nxservice.
