When I’m installing NoMachine on a Debian server where no physical monitor is available since the first boot, it shows “nxoutput0” in the display settings, and everything is okay. However, after a reboot, it shows “Monitor” in the display settings. There is no physical monitor connected! I also installed the “xrdp” service, and it shows “rdp0” as it should, but NoMachine somehow shows “Monitor” in the display settings.
I tried it on another server from a different hosting provider, and the situation is the same. I have a “Monitor” in the display settings from NoMachine and “rdp0” from xrdp. How can I fix this situation?
Under the “Monitor” in display settings, I cannot manually change the resolution. I have only a few available resolutions like 1024×768 and others similar to this. I use xrandr for it, but after a reboot, I lose the resolution and have to set it again. It’s really strange to have a “Monitor” in display settings when I have no monitor connected.
Please advise on what to do.
