    UBUNTU 22.04, NoMachine 8.13.1

    After upgrades NX stopped connecting to remote computer if the user is not logged in.

    An error was displayed: “Connection closed by the remote peer”

    The problem was solved only after setting

    WaylandEnable=false

    in the file /etc/gdm3/custom.conf

    Hi froZZen,

    Could you please re-enable Wayland, reproduce the issue and gather the logs (both server and client sides) ?

    If needed, here’s the procedure to collect NoMachine logs: NoMachine – Collect Server And Client Logs Manually – Knowledge Base

    You can then send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, making sure to reference the topic as the subject of the email.

    Thanks !

    Hi, the logs were not complete unfortunately. We need the .nx directory from the gdm user’s home dir (look for ‘/var/lib/gdm3/.nx’). Reproducing the problem should not be required.

    It seems a system update overwrote some NoMachine system scripts.

    You can try running this command on the server from a terminal sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxserver --eglcapture yes.
