    Hello!

I am desperately trying to get Nomachine to work on my computer.

Error description: Neither mouse nor keyboard input is accepted until I touch the mouse or keyboard on the host once (which is of course not permanently possible for remote access). From then on, the input works until I disconnect – if I reconnect, no input is accepted again.

    My configuration:
Host: Kubuntu 24.04 (KDE Plasma 5.27.11, X11), NoMachine free 8.14.2, Laptop (so a display is available)
Client: e.g. Kubuntu 22.04. (NoMachine free 8.14.2), Android app, … (problem occurs on all devices, so I guess the problem exists on the host side, not the client side)

So far I tried a lot of different settings and hints from this (and other) forum, but my problem is not that mouse/keyboard don’t work at all, but that they only work once I have given an input on the host system. Reinstalling etc. doesn’t help. Have you maybe ever experienced a similar problem?

    Would be extremely grateful!

    Hi,

this problem has never been experienced in our labs or even reported. As a quick try, please add this line to the
‘/usr/NX/etc/node.cfg’ file on the host (server) machine:

    DisplayServerExtraOptions "-eventdelay 0"

Then restart the NoMachine server. Does it help?
