Upgraded company workstations.  Able to connect from newer or older hardware to older hardware running NX without issue.  However when connecting to newer Dell 3680 machines, input lag on login screen as well in the remote session is about 10-20 seconds.  Applies to mouse as well as keyboard events.  Remote machine’s nxnode.bin process pegs one CPU at 100% while the input is lagging.

Older hardware is a Dell Precision 3650 w/ i9-11900K, OS is CentOS 8 stream running kernel-4.18.0-348.7.1.el8_5.x86_64

Newer hardware is a Dell Precision 3680 w/ i9-14900K, OS is CentOS 8 stream running kernel-4.18.0-553.6.1.el8.x86_64

Tested NX versions are nomachine-7.9.2-1.x86_64 and nomachine-8.14.2-1.x86_64 (problem exists with both)

I’ve sent in the server logs from the 3680 workstation that’s affected.  Thanks for any help.

In the logs we see ‘out of memory’ errors from the OpenGL functions which NoMachine uses to capture the screen content. Do the new workstations have larger screens or maybe less video memory?

Is it possible for you to send us the logs from the older workstation to compare?

    Also useful to know are:

    – the desktop environment in use
    – did you logout/login or reboot the server after installing NoMachine? (the reason we ask is because a logout/login or reboot   enables the default capture method, which in the logs you submitted is not working.)
