I am trying to figure out a way to save and share the machine names that I change in my machines page.

When I add NoMachine to a remote PC, it pops up in my machines list and I rename it to what its task is for easier organization. Is there a way to share this with another PC? Since I’m not adding a connection manually due to network broadcast, it doesn’t save any configuration files under documents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, changing a label in your Machines panel, changes the name for you, not other users. With MDNS connections, NoMachine broadcasts the presence of the machine and uses the name set on the system. This type of connection (MDNS) works differently to a traditional connection which has its own connection file. If you want others to see the new name, you could change the hostname in the machine’s system configuration. Alternatively, you could create a connection file and distribute that to all your users and they will then also know the new name.
