Hi I have a brand spanking new Mac Mini m4.
I intend to use it in headless mode.

I have disabled filevault, have autologin enabled. I can ssh into the machine at any given point when the device restarts. I have installed Nx from the website, have latest version, tried updating it.

Whenever I start up NoMachine from the GUI “start the server” is available with green play button but the UI is unresponsive when clicking on it. Despite the start the server at system startup is ticked in and when I tick it it prompts me for username and pwd.

The only reliable way of starting up the server is sudo /etc/NX/nxserver –restart.

I cannot find or see how can I see server logs to see why does not start, but I am unable to debug why does not it do anything from GUI level.

    Help would be appreciated.

Hi, check in the mac’s Accessibility, Screen Recording and Full Disk Access that NoMachine and nxnode (a component of NoMachine) have been correctly added in the Privacy panel. Remove and add again if necessary. This article shows the panels to check: https://kb.nomachine.com/AR11Q01061. Restart the nxserver. Does that help?
