in4matixParticipantHi,
I’m running NX player version 8.16 on Ubuntu, and connecting to Windows 11 Desktops (NX version 8.16). Is it possible to always connect in full screen mode?
Currently, every time I connect, I need to manually select full screen mode.
Found this: https://forum.nomachine.com/topic/connect-always-in-fullscreen
But do not understand how to achieve this.
Thank you in advance.

BritgirlKeymasterHi, are you connecting to mDNS discovered machines (NoMachine computers on LAN)? Or are you connecting to computers by creating a connection manually (i.e you insert the IP address when you create the connection).
Are other connection preferences being ignored as well, such as user credentials not being store or a custom resize mode?
How do you disconnect the session?

in4matixParticipantHi, thank you for your reply.
The connections were created manually using Hamachi VPN assigned IP address.
User credentials are set to be stored, but all other settings are default.
I always disconnect by selecting disconnect from the control menu.

BritgirlKeymasterThanks for confirming. Just to clarify, NoMachine tries to restore the last state saved when the connection was closed. However, there might be conditions preventing that from happening, such as a monitor which is now no longer available. In that case the state is restored to the default conditions.
Can you tell us:
– the Ubuntu version and desktop environment?
– whether the Ubuntu client isusing multiple monitors? If yes, what is the monitors’ layout? Does the client always start on the same monitor?
– the output ofxrandr --listmonitorslaunched in a terminal window?February 14, 2025 at 08:09 #51813

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Wayland, Gnome 42.9

I just have one 24″ inch LED Monitor.

BritgirlKeymasterHi, please check your command formatting. The correct command to use is
xrandr --listmonitors. -
