Hello NoMachine Support Team and Community,

I am experiencing a critical issue with the latest version of NoMachine. The problem starts as soon as I launch the NoMachine Player, even before I establish a connection to a remote server.

Multiple “Tray Monitor” processes are continuously created, leading to memory consumption of my system’s RAM. This eventually makes my computer extremely slow and unresponsive. I have attached a screenshot of my Task Manager showing the large number of processes.

    Here is my system information:

    NoMachine Version: 9.1.24 (free version)

    PC: [Windows 11 Home]

    Graphics Card: [RTX 4060 Laptop]

    Thank you for your help.

Hi and thank you for the report. The behaviour should be caused by a problem in the communication between the tray and the client process, probably caused by an issue occurring on the UTF16 environment. You could try to rename your computer by using an english word, for example, to verify if the client behaviour changes.

Please contact us on forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, I’d like to send you a version to test a possible fix.
