Hello,
I am trying to update NoMachine from 3.xx to 5.0.43. For the old version we have made a management agent program with GUI, now I need to redesign the layout of the gui for the new version 5.0.43.
I don’t have to add all new functions on the gui, what I need to know is, what are the important modifications from version 3 to 5 (e.g. I know the http proxy is new and important). Can someone tell me where can I find this information?
thank you very much for your answers!

October 26, 2015 at 14:19 #8825BritgirlKeymasterI am not sure what you need. In your last post I gave you a link to what some of the more requested changes are in the nxs and cfg files. If you need further advice in your upgrade to version 5 from our legacy software, this is really a question that you should submit to our support team. Please log in and open a ticket and they can help you with your configuration.
October 27, 2015 at 11:53 #8826huangParticipantthe link you gave is about update policies, what I need is as example like follwing:
nomachine5.0:
<group name=”general”>
<option key=”connection service” ….
was in the version
nxclient3.5:
<group name=”login”>
<option key=”Login method” ….
so that people can know what in old version are changed to what in new version, and also for example:
nomachine5.0:
<group name=”service”>
<option key=”Output audio device” value=”autodetect”/>
it looks like this new key has “string” as data type, but what else except “autodetect”? Where can man such Information find?
October 27, 2015 at 12:10 #8844BritgirlKeymasterI passed you a link to a document which describes the most common settings that administrators might want to pre-configure for their users.
https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00094
This document goes into detail about .nxs and .cfg file options.Not all the entries of the cfg are mentioned because they are not meant to be interfered with because editing them can cause problems. That said, we understand that admins need to understand what options have changed and/or where to find them. For your custom configuration within your set-up, I would suggest you post your specific question to the support teams giving details about what you were setting in the legacy version and what you would like to achieve with the new version.

This explains my question perfectly. I think now you can understand my question, I need to know which keys should/could be edited in new version and whichs are not important or dangerous to modify.
But by explain, I do not mean answer. The link u gave can answer some of the questions, but in my opinion, if there were a list where man can read the infos of all the new option keys, that would make my work much easier.
However thank you for your answer, please give the link where I can post my question to the support teams.
