Just installed NM on win10 system then on a win7 system.

The connection is over a local wireless network. Both machines can ping and ‘see’ each other over windows networking.

The win10 can connect to the win7 (connected via wireless); but, win7 cannot connect to the win10 machine.

    Error 138: connection timed out.

    Please advise.

Can you verify that the firewall is not blocking NX ports on that windows 10? NoMachine use 4000 and 4022.

Thanks for getting back to me.

port settings are ‘any’ and ‘any’. Settings on win10 are same as win7

In addition, on the win10 machine i created a rule associating server.bin to 4000

Are you using a non-native firewall?

Please enable debug and reproduce the problem. Send logs from server and client side to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Instructions about collecting logs you can find here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT04M00076.
