To completely disable recording please set following keys from node.cfg to 0:

EnableSessionRecording

EnableLocalRecording

First one controls recording of remote session that you can start from Player GUI. Second one control recording of local desktop that you can start from Monitor GUI and can be used to record desktop inside remote session as well.
