Installed NoMachine x86_64 9.1.24-6 on host and client.

Host is Rocky linux 9, with two monitors attached.

    gnome-shell.x86_64   40.10-25.el9_6

    5.14.0-570.28.1.el9_6.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Jul 24 10:32:22 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    Client is Windows 10.

I can connect the host,  can see mouse cursor changes its shape to match from the host, but the screen is black.

    Debug log file is attached.

    Hello rocky9_nomchine,

Thanks for the logs, we checked them, but we need more info. Can you please

    • restart the server (/usr/NX/bin/nxserver –restart) and collect debug logs again as you already did (so that also the logs from the server daemon will be included)
    • give us the output of ‘ps -ef’
    • check whether the monitors are turned on and display is not sleeping

Sure thing. Here they are. I performed a logrotate before restarting. I can also confirm that the server display was on at all times; it was not sleeping or suspended.

In fact, after connecting from a Windows client, I can see the NoMachine note on the top right corner of the Linux host stating a user ‘username from IP xxx connected, a second note also states “Your desktop is currently viewed”. But the client NoMachine window remains blackscreen, the mouse cursor, however, changed its shape to match the host.

Here’s the ps output (it won’t let me post file with extension .log), so here it is the ps -ef outout:
