I have 2 Windows 10 machines both running the latest version of NoMachine. My desktop at home is acting as the server (Win10) and I am attempting to connect disks and usb devices to my laptop (Win10). I am unable to do either. The remote disks appear on my laptop but no usb devices. The error message I receive is “unable to connect disk”.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled NoMachine on both computers and have ports mapped in my firewall. Are there any particular ports I need to map/remap?

    Hi,

Just to clarify, there are two different forwarding modules, that work independently, one for disk forwarding and another for USB device forwarding (USB device could be disk as well).

In case of USB devices forwarding:

    1. Please check in the Devices > Connect USB Device panel, do you see both local and remote USB devices?

    2. Please check on both machines, if one of these conflicting software is installed: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR04Q01027
