    hello,

for the past couple months i get the ‘connection with the server is lost’ message.  the strange thing is NoMachine used to work reliably for years until this past couple months.

i would reinstall NoMachine on the server, and it would work for several hours, then it would stop working.  i am guessing there is some port settings i am not understanding.

    server:

Description: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS running unity.

    NoMachine 5.3.9

    Physical Display

    Client

    Mac os x 10.11.6

    NoMachine 5.3.9

    log file is linked here:

    best,

Upon further investigation i noticed that this message appears in the log file:

Info: The session was closed before reaching a usable state.

Info: This can be due to the local display refusing access to the client.

Info: Please check authorization provided by the remote application.

Session: Session terminated at Tue Aug  1 11:09:15 2017.

On the server side i noticed that there is no message popping up saying that the client is logging in.  also, there is no NoMachine icon in the system tray.

i wonder if there is something weird going on the server side since the server doesn’t even know the client is trying to log in.

    Hi f,

unfortunately the logs you sent are not enough to understand what is going on. Please gather a complete set of server and client side logs as explained here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098. Don’t forget to set the SessionLogClean configuration key and to select the ‘Don’t delete log files on exit’ checkbox in the player’s settings (Privacy tab).
