Centos NoMachine server no sound

Hello, I’m trying to troubleshoot why I’m not getting any sound from my Centos NM server and I’m unable to forward my microphone to my server. I’ve checked and followed the steps in this article: https://www.nomachine.com/AR10Q01048

I’ve checked the pactl output and I’m seeing no instance of NoMachine or NX, I’ve also tried killing pulseaudio and restarting the server. No luck. I’m currently using the latest version of NM, 6.12.3

I’m using Windows 10 as my client machine, and I can confirm that audio works when I connect to a Windows server.

It feels like something is failing to start, that’s why I’m not seeing an audio device listed in pactl. Is there an audio driver or device built into NoMachine similar to the nxusb driver?

Hi,

If pactl list sources | grep nx did not return any output I suggest to update nxnode configuration file. To do that run:

sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxnode --audiosetup <path>

where <path> is an optional argument to specify the absolute path to Pulseaudio configuration files (e.g. client.conf, daemon.conf, …) in a non standard location.

After that restart NoMachine server and verify if audio works when you connect to CentOS:

sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --restart

Did you change anything inside Pulseaudio configuration files?
