My host server has a screen resolution of 1920×1080. But my client has 4K.

How can I get a virtual desktop with the same screen resolution like my client?

When connecting to the physical desktop, possible resolutions are the ones made available by the hardware and drivers. If you’re creating a virtual desktop, you can either enable the ‘Resize remote screen’ option in the Display menu (open the menu with Ctrl + Alt + 0), or set a custom resolution in Display settings.

I selected remote screen adjustment. However, nothing happens.

When I go to the adjust display settings, I can only select as maximum 1920×1080, although my screen has 2560×1440 resolution.

As far as I can say from your latest screenshot you’re connecting to a physical desktop, so available geometries are limited by what I said initially:

You can’t set 2560×1440 because your remote desktop doesn’t support it.

I do not see this option: “New Desktop” after I login via my NoMachine Enterprise Client.

Is this not available in the free edition?

If you want to run a virtual Linux desktop you need to install Workstation.
