    Hello, dear NoMachine!

I get error with NX4, client can connect only after 1-3 tries:
Could not start the display server.
    Error is 5. Input/output error

    It is latest NX:
    server – nomachine-4.3.24-2
    node – nomachine-4.3.24-2
    client – nomachine-4.1.29-5

    client ip – 11.11.2.20
    client username – tcrb_gajnutdinova

OS ALT Linux 6 x86_64 on servers and ALT Linux 6 i586 on client

Error logs from servers and session config from client attached to mail that I sent to issues@

P.S.: maybe this is same problem https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/error-is-5-inputoutput-error

    From the logs your submitted:
    The following error:

‘2014-10-16 10:55:21 485.536 12919 NXSERVER ERROR! X resources are not enough to start another session.’

can occur when the server is not able to find a free display in the range defined by the server configuration.

    Default values are:

    #DisplayBase 1001

    #DisplayLimit 200

You can try to increase value set for the DisplayLimit key to see if it helps.

The problem can be due to leftovers from previous sessions. The cleaning procedure to free system resources when a session
failed was not working properly in version 4.2.27.  This problem is not present in the 4.3 versions.

We suggest to upgrade your installation to the latest 4.3.24  version.

    Hello, dear NoMachine!

Problem named “Could not start the display server. Error is 5. Input/output error ”  fixed by upgrade to 4.3.30_2.
    Thank you!

But, as I see, number of files in ICE directory still increasing, but not so quick :

    [root@termserv8-med ~]# find /tmp/.ICE-unix/ | wc -l
    342

Maybe it will be interesting for you.

Further investigation shows that this is a leak from Gnome resources and not leftovers of NoMachine.
