I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I have been trying for a few hours now banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why I cannot send Ctrl+Alt+Del sequence to a Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit machine which requires CTR+ALT+DEL to be pressed before logging on.
I have gone over the settings, updated from 4.0.369_free to 4.1.29_free and NO luck. Not even with “Grab the keyboard input” enabled. I have even tried Crtl+Alt+Ins and CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+DEL to no avail. All I keep reading is that it has been implemented but I do not see it.
The host server was even updated to newest version 4.1.29 but still when I press CTRL+ALT+DEL all it does is pass it to the localhost rather then to NoMachine Connection.
Best Regards,

Next time, instead of screaming or banging your head against the wall, spend 5 minutes at searching the Internet or the NoMachine Knowledge Base. Windows doesn’t allow intercepting the Ctrl+Alt+Del for security reasons, so doing this from the keyboard is impossible by design.
Feel free to suggest how we can improve the user experience. We would love to make a search unneeded but so far nobody here came with a good idea on how to do it.

This is an idea: we know when Windows enters the login screen so we can insert a hint panel similar to the welcome panels we display at startup. Would this be sufficient to save your head?

Yes I read https://www.nomachine.com/AR02L00784 and clicking the icon does nothing.
Can’t send a cntl+alt+del = can’t login.
Everybody else seems to use a macro for it cntl+del, cntl+alt+ins, cntl+alt+end… Have you thought of that?
Or how do I get the icon to do something?

April 27, 2014 at 17:20 #3314trimtabParticipantAny update on this issue? I’m running the Linux client (ubuntu 12.04) and when I connect to a windows server 2008 test VM it doesn’t even have the “special keys” button shown here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR02L00784. Button doesn’t exist.
As a workaround i found I could “attach” my local USB keyboard to the remote server and hit CTRL-ALT-DEL that way, which is neat, but very ugly as it makes switching focus between local and remote system totally suck. I’m evaluating NoMachine for my company and it’s a show-stopper if CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn’t work properly as it does in other remote desktop solutions.
