Cursor lag on Ubuntu 22.04 client

Ubuntu 22.04 server using the NoMachine free client  8.9.1 on a Mac. I’m seeing a lot of cursor lag. This doesn’t happen when connected to a physical display.

I have other computers connected over this same network on NoMachine (not Ubuntu) that don’t experience this kind of cursor lag. Is it Wayland? Maybe the AMD GPU it has? Is there anything else I can check or investigate?

Hi,

is the server headless, or is its monitor turned off? Do you experience the same lag when the monitor is attached and turned on?

This doesn’t happen when connected to a physical display.

Please clarify that. Do you mean that it doesn’t happen when you’re sitting in front of the server machine and using the local mouse?
