    Hi,

I have been using NoMachine to connect my desktop at work (Ubuntu Linux) with a Windows 10 machine at home. It worked perfectly fine for the past two years, but starting from today, I started having the error message “Error 108, connection reset by peer”. I tried the connection from a Mac as well, and I received a similar message “Error 54, connection reset by peer”.

It seems that the connection is “established” for a short while, as the loading part of “Connecting to …” is finished but the screen turned blank after that, then it became “Attempting to reconnect to…” and the error message “connection reset by peer” popped up. Can you help me with this issue? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, “reset by peer” usually means an unexpected closure on the other side. Have you updated your Ubuntu server maybe or made some other change to the system? Can you send us the logs from the server side as well? The ones you attached are from the Player. You can extract them using the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243

Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!
