    Hi,

when I connect to an headless Linux workstation, NoMachine automatically connects to the physical display, which is not possible to resize.

Is there a way to force – even when lightdm or similar is running – a virtual desktop to be able to resize?

Also, in the past I could select a session when connecting. This window seems to be vanished completely? There I was also able to create a new session.

    Thanks

Your physical display may be not resizable becouse it’s headless.

If you turn off lightdm / X server a NoMachine will start one on it’s own, fully resizable.

    Hi reza,

yes, I am aware of that. I was looking for a more elegant solution. In the past when I connected to the nx server I could choose from a list of sessions.

Do you mean version 3.5.0? If so, NX Free Edition was replaced by the Workstation. This allows you to run virtual Linux desktops (up to 4) and then you will have a list of sessions available.
