Some time ago I did the free upgrade to Win 10 from Windows 7 64 Home Premium SP1. With Windows 10 I had NoMachine (NM) operating fully. Everything worked. I could forward my mic and hear sound via my Windows XP computer.
Recently I became disenchanted with Windows 10 and reinstalled my Windows 7 64 Home Premium SP1 to the server computer. I have not updated Windows 7 and don’t really want to (computer runs faster).
When I tried NM on Windows 7 it worked but with no microphone. With Win10 the NM mic adapter was installed and visible (I could toggle it on or off). But with Windows 7 I don’t see the NM mic adapter in audio properties (re server machine) and cannot get the mic to work from Win XP remote.
My question – Would Windows 7 updates fix this? As I say, I don’t want to update Win 7 but would consider it if this would help get the mic working remotely from Win XP computer.
Or maybe another suggestion, without having to update Win 7?
Thanks in advance. Great product.
