    I have commented /etc/pam.d/nx file for google authenticator config

    I can connect back now to my host/server.
    How can I enable the google authenticator MFA on the host again, does it require again to run google authenticator and add new account ?

    Hi, there is an article dedicated to using two-factor authentication with Linux systems which can be of help to you:

    https://kb.nomachine.com/AR12L00828

    Did you already follow the steps there? There are some specific examples including for Google Authenticator. PAM should be configured by adding the following line at the end of the auth section:

    @include common-auth
    auth required pam_google_authenticator.so

    So if you’ve disabled that line, you should re-enable it.
