Connecting to Arch Linux running Wayland gives a grey screen with a cursor. On the server side if the cursor is moved on the client it moves on the server. Switching to XOrg NoMachine behaves as expected.

OS: Arch patched as of 7/12/20

    DE Gnome gnome-shell 3.36.4

    DM Gnome gdm 3.36.2

    Wayland 1.18.0

    NoMachine 6.11.2

Thanks in advance for the help

Hello. Is the server side a virtual machine? Are you using open source video driver or from a video card vendor’s package? Any error in files /usr/NX/var/log/node/*/session ?

Server is not a virtual machine, normal desktop. I am using open source video drivers (mesa) the video card is an AMD video card. I will look through the logs for errors and report back

Issue is resolved.  I was looking through your KB and found some additional Wayland settings. In node.cfg I uncommented  EnableEGLCapture 1 and WaylandModes “drm, compositor, egl” which seems to have fixed the issue. Not sure which one fixed it but since it is working now I am inclined to leave them both enabled as they are.
