I’m trying to connect from a Windows 10 PC to a Mac mini running Catalina. I have followed all the suggestions for NoMachine on Catalina. I am connecting to the mac mini using NX connection and trying to use password authentication (or SSH key) but keep receiving the error below

Could not connect to the server.

Error: Host key verification failed

Yes, I have. I still get the same error when using NX connection. I have tried with SSH connection too and get an authentication failed error.

Do you mean that you tried a vanilla SSH connection or a NoMachine SSH connection?

If the second, check the logs for errors. The NoMachine /var/log folder on Mac  is:

/Library/Application Support/NoMachine/var/log
