Hi! How can I switch off audio transmission, reduce colors to 256, set FPS to 1, set up any other parameters, in order to reduce/remove high bandwith requirement with NoMachine for Linux? To be able to operate at a speed of an unstable voice modem connection (these 33600 bps, 14400… from the childhood you remember).

May I edit any configuration files? In the GUI I do not see any options about the subject. Except the options for a high bandwith cases (like video codec selection and 30+ FPS). No idea about a case of low speed connection.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

audio streaming can be disabled in the Audio settings panel of the session menu.

To reduce bandwidth further, you could try the following:

    i) set the lowest quality in the Display quality slider in the Display settings panel of the session menu

ii) resize the remote screen to a low resolution

iii) edit the node.cfg on the server host to set ‘DisplayServerVideoFrameRate 1’ and ‘DisplayServerUseVideoFrameRate 1’

Let us know if that helps 🙂
