Hi, I installed NoMachine for Linux – amd64 DEB 5.1.44_1 in five computer. Three of this computer con Kubuntu 14.04 and two 16.04.
Four computer work correctly, one no.
Installation has done correctly and player and server starts but I can’t see the link to this machine from the others.
When I start the “Server Status” I find the change locked, and I can’t unlock. The Server don’t accept my user/pass.
It seems my user is not a superuser, but is the same used for installation, and it’s the only one I have …

I don’t understand what happen. Please help me.

I removed & reinstalled (deleting also the directory NX) and I partially solve the problem.
Now, booting the computer whit server, NoMachine start and I can connect from a client, but only before logging.
If I enter like a guest, the connection work, but if I enter whit the user normally used (uuid 1000) the connection drop down.
Now I’ll send you the log files.

    Hi Filippo,

    Thank you for the logs.

Please try to change the ownership  for /home/cbiuser/.nx (user cbiuser should be the owner).

Could you pleasealso tell us if you were running a client monitor or player through sudo ?

    Thank you in advance!

No, the server and the player are not through sudo, but the problem is solved.

    Changing owner of .nx worked!!!

    Thank you very much.

    Dear Filippo,

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that the workaround solved your problem.

Concerning the wrong ownership of .nx directory: we are not able to reproduce it; could you please describe in details how you did the installation ? i.e. did you download from the webpage and run sudo dpkg -i nomachine ? Or did you use Ubuntu’s GUI ?

    Thanks
