Hello Support Team,
I have installed NoMachine as a remote desktop service on my raspberry pi (headless), while everything works fine, I noticed that the keyboard is not working at all when I connect remotely to my raspberry pi while the mouse works perfectly fine.
I tried researching but I couldn’t solve this issue, any help would be really appreciated.
Logs attached
Thanks and regards

thank you for contacting us.

Is it possible to attach a monitor to your raspberry? As a test, try if keyboard works or not when a monitor is connected and switched on.
Please tell us more details about the problem:
1) does pressing the keyboard doesn’t do nothing on the remote desktop? Or a is a different/wrong character typed?
2) Does this happen with all applications, or with a program only? Which one?
Additionally, tell us also more information about your Raspberry:
3) processor
4) Operating System
Thanks !

So basically when the physical keyboard is connected to the raspbebrry pi, and i start a remote session, i can use my laptops keyboard. but when there is no physical keyboard connected to the pi i can’t . and this is happening in text files and terminal and browser. basically everything that requires a text input.

July 3, 2024 at 08:58 #48672BritgirlKeymasterWe’ve not been able to reproduce your issue with or without a keyboard attached to the RPi device.
Those logs you attached are from 2020 and they indicate a NoMachine 6.9 on Windows (player side by the looks of it). Make sure that this version is updated to the latest 8.11. Which Windows version is it exactly? Then on the Raspberry, which is on the server side also make sure that the NoMachine software is updated to the latest 8.11.
Then, we will need fresh logs of a new session once you have follow the instructions here, and the logs must be from both sides.
