    Hello,

I’ve installed NoMachine on a laptop in Linux (Mint 20.1) for connections to a Mac OS x.
The transfer of the keyboard shortcuts does not work even if the ‘Grab the keyboard input’ option is clicked in the player input options on both machines. For example, I can not use the shorcuts ‘Ctrl+c’ and ‘Ctrl+v’ for copy, paste.
Is there a plugin to install?
    Best Regards.

    Hi mkirkove,

In this case, you should use the ‘windows key’ instead of ‘Ctrl’ inside the session to copy-paste, and make sure that โ€˜Grab the keyboard inputโ€™ option is checked when pressing the windows key.

    Dear Carin.
I already tried this solution, but it does not work. Actually, no other keyboard key works instead of ‘Ctrl’.

    Hi,

Can you please do a recording of your session while reproducing the problem with the on-screen keyboard visible on the server(mac) side?

See below the instructions on how to enable onscreen keyboard:
Turn it on: On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, click Keyboard, click Accessibility Keyboard, then select Enable Accessibility Keyboard.
You can also turn on the Accessibility Keyboard by clicking the Input menu in the menu bar, then choosing Show Keyboard Viewer.

Sorry, I don’t understand how to record with the on-screen keyboard.

    Hi mkirkove,

You can take a look at this article about recording sessions with NoMachine: https://www.nomachine.com/recording-the-remote-or-local-desktop-with-nomachine

    Thanks.

I made a recording while trying to copy/paste a text in a text editor (TextMate) on the remote machine (Mac).

For the copy/paste, I successively try the following combinations:

    – ‘Ctrl+c’ + ‘Ctrl+v’

    – ‘Alt+c’ + ‘Alt+v’

    – ‘Window key+c’ + ‘Window key+v’

I send the recording in the attachments.

Sorry. I see now that there was an error for uploading my file that was too large.
I made a faster recording. The result is in attachment.

    Hi mkirkove,

Thank you for sending the recording. ๐Ÿ™‚
However, would it be possible to send us a new one showing the onscreen keyboard? What we need to see this time is a recording of the whole screen on the client-side (your Linux Mint), including the NoMachine window and also showing the onscreen keyboard visible while recording.

You should enable onscreen keyboard on the client-side (Linux) and then enable the same on the server-side (MacOS) and do a recording so that both keyboards are visible.

    Many thanks!

Ok. Yes, sorry, I forgot to use the onscreen keyboard.

I just did the recording and sent it to you.

    Many thanks.

    Hi mkirkove,

Thank you for sending the new recording.
We noticed that some keys are pressed constantly on the server-side. Does pressing those keys inside the session releases them and does after that the clipboard start working?
Also, can you tell us which keyboard layouts you’re using on both the client and server sides? Thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hello.
The keyboard layouts are both ‘Belgian Azerty’ (on the server and the client).

    Thank you @mkirkove.

Can you also check if pressing those keys inside the session releases them? And if after that the clipboard starts working?
