When I remote into my machine I don’t want the local screen to show the live session, the local user should be locked out. Therefore I check the box with option

“Blank the physical screen when somebody connects”

The problem is that I want the option of the local user to override the remote user if desired, most reasonably by entering the machine password. As of now if I happen to have not logged off my remote session but I want to use the computer locally it seems my only option is to restart the machine, which is not optimal.

    Hi,

this is not possible at the moment. Part of the reasons are technical: the only consistent way to implement blanking across all platforms is by turning off video output completely, thus it is not possible to show a prompt on the physical screen, especially one that would not be seen also on the connecting client. Note that you can regain control over the machine at any time by connecting from any other computer or device at your disposal, including mobile devices, thanks to NoMachine client for iOS and Android.
