Local screen has corrupted regions after pop-ups and window moves

Hi,

I have an issue with the NoMachine client 5.3.27, where the local screen does not refresh properly. I see smallish regions of corrupted image where a pop-up window has vanished or when I drag another window across a lower one.

Client machine Mac 10.14.3, remote machine centos 6.8, desktop Gnome 2.28.2

I can sometimes force a refresh by manually resizing the window in question, but that’s a pain to do a lot.

I have purged ~/.nx/cache_gnome on the local machine a couple of times with no effect.

Any ideas?

I strongly suggest you update the NoMachine installation on the client. Also, confirm what NoMachine version is on the Centos side.

the server side is version 5, I have the latest version 5.3.27 on my MAC, and the IT guys tell me that client 6 will not work with server 5

so I can’t do anything else from my side I think. It seems the company is on server 5 for a while yet.

Will client 6 work with server 5?

Version 6 is compatible with version 5. What’s the reason behind your admins saying that it won’t work?

It would be better to update the server side, not just the client side, and ask your admins to submit a support ticket if possible.

In the meantime, can you submit a screenshot that shows the problem? Is anyone else in your company experiencing this problem?
