Hello all, I get distracted from what I’m doing several times a day when I have to switch between VPNs. Every time connection is re-established, any minimized NoMachine session window opens. Then it may take seconds while the NoMachine desktop is refreshed before the minimize button has any effect.

This is especially annoying as I typically have more than one NoMachine session to different hosts going on but minimized because I’m doing something else. Every NoMachine window opens at reconnection, hogging the screen over whatever it is I’m doing, and has to be manually minimized again.

I have not found any setting to force minimized NoMachine windows to stay minimized at reconnection. Is there such a setting, and if not, where’s the wishlist for new features?

Hi, at the moment there is no setting to force the windows to stay minimized. The NoMachine window pops up to report a connection status change which could be useful for the user, and to apply some window configuration requests when needed. Your request is certainly a reasonable one though, so we’ll see how we can improve this aspect 🙂

I was just coming to the forums to make the same request, so I’ll just add my enthusiastic +1 here!

My use case: I always keep a NoMachine client session open on my primary computer (to monitor a secondary computer).  Whenever I resume my primary computer from suspend, the NoMachine window unminimizes.

It can be distracting and counterproductive to my workflow, so I’d love a setting to inhibit that behavior.

    Thanks!
