I’ve set up NoMachine with the intent to establish a remote connection to my OSX Monterey computer from my Windows 11 client. The connection is established seemingly without incident but Windows NoMachine shows me “<No available desktops on this server>”. I need help solving this. Thank you.

Here you can find some further hints: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR09S01139. In some cases, after a OS update, it might be necessary to remove (uncheck) the permissions and grant again.
If that doesn’t help, please send us the logs. A similar issue has been reported here:
https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/no-available-desktops-on-this-server-4 and you can follow the instructions for logs there. We can then check to see if it’s the same problem indeed.July 7, 2022 at 20:04 #39109verticoParticipantI’m experiencing the exact same issue as the OP and the linked thread.
I have just emailed my logsJuly 10, 2022 at 20:54 #39149booyadiazParticipantI’m also experiencing the same issue. Worked the first time, then i restarted the Mac, and now it doesn’t show anything when I connect successfully to the Mac from Windows.

For example, I’ve observed that a client can connect and work for a few hours, then the user closes the session and an hour later tries to connect again, but no longer can, because the desktop is not being shared. Rebooting the server or shutting it down and starting it up again doesn’t help, rebooting the computer sometimes helps, but not every time.
July 18, 2022 at 14:04 #39307BritgirlKeymasterIt’s an issue we are aware of and will be fixed in the next software release, version 8. A restart of the nxserver can sometimes help which I can understand is not the best of workarounds, and as akorzy mentioned, didn’t work for him in his case.
July 23, 2022 at 22:50 #39406wParticipantSame issue – is there a beta of version 8 we can use if that is the solution?
August 1, 2022 at 12:50 #39528BritgirlKeymasterNot at the moment. Should this change, we will be in touch 🙂
August 31, 2022 at 16:27 #39966spatterlightParticipantSame issue, fresh install of macOS Monterey 12.5.1 on an Intel Mac Mini.
Issue presents itself with both a virtual HDMI adapter and actual display. Un-checking and re-checking all available permissions does nothing.
October 3, 2022 at 14:22 #40497BritgirlKeymasterCan you all update to the latest NoMachine version, 8.1.2? It solves this TR:
Cannot connect to physical desktop on macOS after a system update
https://www.nomachine.com/TR10S10377Note that the fix to this Trouble Report will require giving accessibility permissions to NoMachine or nxnode one last time.
