Hello
I have extensively used googlefu to try and find a solution. Being unsuccessful, brings me here.
My setup using free ver. of nomachine:
Suse 13.1 x64 as server
Win7 x64 as client
Using (latest available) nomachine 4.4.12_11 on Suse, 4.4.12_16 on Win7
Cant get passed No available sessions on this server
Tried creating accounts on Linux with nxserver –useradd, also created a new account with nxserver –useradd –system
X is up and running with user logged in
I can connect to the windows desktop from linux, but not interact with it – grab mouse and keyboard are checkedOut of ideas…

We will need debug NoMachine server logs to investigate further. Please follow the instructions here:

Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]comAfter enable debug logs on problematic machine please execute:
/etc/NX/nxserver --restart
and after that try to reproduce the issue.Additionally please provide output of command:
ps -Af | grep X

March 25, 2015 at 13:28 #6728zaqParticipantDear krusher,
Upgrade from older versions to NoMachine 4 is supported only for NX 3.5.0.
We have verified that there can be problems when upgrading from version 3.4.0 to 4.
We strongly advise to uninstall your current installation, remove the /usr/NX directory
and proceed with a fresh new install of NoMachine (free) 4.4.12.March 26, 2015 at 10:27 #6731krusherParticipantThanks Zaq, that did the trick.
I was unaware that there were remnants of the old ver. on the system.
I just have one minor issue and that is some color combos produce blurred text.
March 26, 2015 at 11:18 #6735fra81ModeratorHello Krusher,
can you attach a screenshot showing the blurred text?
March 26, 2015 at 13:52 #6739krusherParticipantConsole text seems unaffected.
I have tried adjusting the display settings to no avail.

March 30, 2015 at 10:52 #6762fra81ModeratorThank you Krusher,
you were right in saying that it is the particular combo to produce the blurred text. Unfortunately some colors may suffer from the colorspace conversion to the YUV format, that is the dowsampled format required by video encoders. Anyway we are aware of the problem and are working on a solution consisting in a lossless addtional encoding pass, to be introduced in the NoMachine display protocol.
