I am using an arm64 based Ubuntu 22.04.1 oracle cloud instance, accessing it with NoMachine software

The problem is that I don’t any get sound from snap installed Chromium and Firefox, they don’t even show up in pavucontrol gui for pulse-audio.

I am getting system sound, vlc player sound and even sound from Firefox installed from Mozillateam repository. (reference https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install-firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04)

We’ve not been able to reproduce this problem on our RPi and with snap, despite several attempts. It could be something to do with a specific setting or configuration in your Oracle VM, is this possible? Are you able to send us the logs from the server sideso we can take a look? Please follow the instructions here and send them forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure to use the title of your topic as the subject of your email.

I have switched to Ubuntu 20.04 and it’s working fine on arm64. Only problem I have now is delayed audio. I first see the video and after about a half a second later I hear the audio

It would also be a good idea to update to the latest version of NoMachine if you are still on v7.

Edit: Topic about sound is solved. A new topic is required if another issue is found.
