I am running the NoMachine server on a KVM-qemu virtual-machine.

The OS is Centos 6. I cannot export the sound. If I connect to the server via KVM-spice I do get the sound.

I looks to me as if KVM somehow redirects the sound such that the NX-server can’t export it.

Does anybody have experience  on how to configure in a situation like that to get the sound to an NX-client?

    Thanks,

    Wolfgang

Please check if you have Artsd daemon installed and running.

I did not have artsd running.

I have installed and started it – no difference. I guess it takes some configuration.

Could you provide a link or something with more details?

Run the following command to update NoMachine audio support:
    /usr/NX/bin/nxnode –audiosetup [<path>]
where <path> is an optional argument to specify the absolute path to PulseAudio configuration files (e.g. client.conf, daemon.conf, …) in a non standard location. For more information about this command please run /usr/NX/bin/nxnode –help.
