Hi,
this is a refreshed version of https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/mouse-pointer-no-longer-switching-to-a-finger-pointer-over-a-button#post-6959
When connected through NoMachine I see no change when hovering over items. This is in sites (e.g. CSS hover effects) and Chrome itself (e.g. red circle around tab close X). Other apps work fine, e.g. Firefox.
The NoMachine products and versions in use on client and server.
I use the AUR package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nomachine/ and at the moment 4.5.0-1 is installed on both, client and server.
Operating system and desktop environment in use on client and server.
Arch Linux, XFCE 4.12.1-1, Windowmanager is Xmonad 0.11.1-2 http://xmonad.org/
Chrome is version 42.0.2311.90-1 and from package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-chrome/
If server is Linux: are you connecting to a physical or a virtual display?
physical:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767
DP1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI1 connected 1920×1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 800mm x 335mm panning 1920×1080+0+0
3440×1440 49.99 + 29.99
2560×1080 60.00
1920×1080 59.99* 60.00 59.94
1680×1050 59.88
1600×900 59.98
1280×1024 60.02
1280×800 59.91
1152×864 59.97
1280×720 60.00 59.94
1024×768 60.00
800×600 60.32
720×480 60.00 59.94
640×480 60.00 59.94
Can you provide specific instructions to reproduce the issue?
- connect to a NoMachine Server
- start Chrome
- move cursor over the X as you would close the tab
- nothing happens, expected: X should get a red circle background
- go to http://ianlunn.github.io/Hover/
- hover over a button
- nothing happens, expected: you should see the effect described by the button text
