Hello
We’re running the latest version of NoMachine Terminal Server Node and Server 6.3.6.
I’ve a connection to a Virtual Desktop GNOME. There is not NoMachine Tray Icon available .
It is neither possible to use drag/drop to do a filetransfer as I cannot move file outside the Gnome window.
Is there a solution for this?
No problem with Mate Desktop Environment

Ok, that’s nice 😐
In fact it does not work for the KDE Desktop Environment either.
Can you confirm this?
Kind regards
Werner
October 23, 2018 at 09:39 #20103BritgirlKeymasterDo you mean that KDE isn’t showing the !M icon in the system tray? Or do you mean that drag and drop isn’t working?
To investigate, please confirm:
– NoMachine version on client, NoMachine version on server
– Linux distribution and specific version on the server
– OS and version on the client
– is it a virtual desktop session, a physical desktop session, or a browser-based session?
– are you dragging from server to client or client to server?October 24, 2018 at 08:01 #20110wernermaesParticipantHello again
In KDE the !M icon is not showing in the system tray.
Drag and drop only works from my Windows pc to the KDE virtual desktop. I cannot drag a file from the KDE virtual desktop to my Windows pc. There seems to be a border where the fill can’t get across.
NoMachine version on client and server: 6.3.6
Linux distribution: CentOS Linux release 7.5.1804 (Core)
Windows 7 build 7601
It is a virtual desktop session.
Dragging from server to client does not work, dragging from my Windows client the server works.
Kind regards

Update: in the browser based session I encounter the same problem with KDE.
Reminder: with Gnome3 I can’t copy in any direction which is even worse.

There is a known problem with drag&drop on Wayland:https://www.nomachine.com/TR02P08427
While checking your report we’ve also found a similar issue occurring when running a custom command in a virtual desktop (we’re still investigating it).
Could you please confirm if you’re using Wayland or a custom session running in a virtual desktop?
November 6, 2018 at 10:55 #20358wernermaesParticipantHello Tor
I’m not using Wayland but I’m running a custom session in a virtual desktop.
Thanks for you tip on how to do a file transfer in Gnome as described in https://www.nomachine.com/TR02P08427.
I cannot see the !M icon in Gnome but I can use the whiteboard.
